This is my art.
I draw on a Huion tablet in Krita and Clip Studio Paint.
I paint mostly with acrylics on wood boards. I’ve been practicing Blender, so I might start putting some of that here, eventually. I’ll share some sketchbook drawings, too.
This mandala has the theme of the moon and tides and their symbiosis. Acrylic on wood board.
This rabbit is what I see in the moon. Acrylic on wood board.
I wanted to capture my hand in time, I think this one is about 12 years old. I used a wood burning tool to etch in a chiromancy chart. I might make another one later in my life to compare them. Acrylic on wood board.
A tree frog. I wanted to try using glass bead gel medium. I used it all over his skin to give it a bumpy texture. Acrylic on wood board.
This is a carp...or a koi. Well, both. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted, but it's still nice to look at. Acrylic on wood board.
A lizard from Shadow of the Colossus. I keep it in my office to give me stamina for the day. Acrylic on canvas.
Simple landscapes featuring the sun and moon. I always keep these two together as a set. Acrylic on wood board.
This is a yin-yang pulsating from a center point, which represents the soul. Each force emerging from the soul is surrounded by it's own rainbow. Or.... is it one long rainbow looping around both? What happens at the point of convergence?! @~@ I made it a long time ago, but I still like it. Acrylic on wood board.
I love space and starry skies, so I tried painting a few. These were neat little experiments. Acrylic on wood board.
A doodle of a crab with an octopus on its face and... there's 2 little guys on it holding up a staff. They're all covered in flame energy. Acrylic on wood board.
A bunch of strange creatures. Acrylic on wood board.
Within the doodles on wood board series, I like this one the best. It has a lot of birds and dragons on it. I think birds are kind of like dragons anyways. They're coming together to have a very important meeting. Acrylic on wood board.
I really liked the way this one turned out, but I never ended up painting it. I think I got worn out. Once I got my energy back, I lost the desire to paint it. This was the last one I made in this series. There's an anteater/lion made out of leaves in the middle, but no one seems to see it the way I do. I still like it, though. Acrylic on wood board.
This was a wedding gift I painted. It's another simple landscape. I tried my best to replicate the top half on the bottom, to look like reflections in the water. Acrylic on wood board.
This is another mindless doodle I made, but this time it was on a sketchbook page.
An experiment with watercolours and black ink pen.
This is a sketch made to plan out a painting of Mt. Fuji. The rectangles represent lights and buildings in the distance. I made this into a painting with gouache. I'm not sure where it ended up, though, because I can't find it anymore. Maybe I'll try painting it again someday. I think I'd like to see the real thing before I do, though.
Another experiment with watercolours and black ink pen. I think I used masking fluid to cover the white parts.
I'm working on a painting of the chalice from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. These are my sketches to plan out the painting. In the game, the chalice changes elements and protects the characters from miasma. I plan on putting the painting by my front door to act as a kind of protection for the house. I was thinking of painting part of the background to whatever colour is suitable by Feng Shui standards (because why not?). In this house, it will be orange. I'll change the colour when I move to a new place.
This is a figure drawing of someone opening a wine bottle. I was practising sketching people a lot at the time and I liked how the bottle shows motion.
This is someone ordering a burger at a self checkout. I think I kept this one because it showed a bit of guilt for ordering fast food; a feeling I often get.
Cute puppies in jackets. I sketched this while I was on vacation.
A sketch of a tiger. Pencil on 90lb paper
A phoenix. I didn't leave enough space for his wing and tail. Coloured pencil and in pen in a sketchbook.
A cup I made following a Blender tutorial. I was pretty amazed by how it turned out! It really got me interested in trying it out again in the future. I will need to finish developping in some other hobbies before I commit to it yet. Blender.
I continued the tutorial and added a liquid into the cup. Blender.
And then I turned the liquid into coffee. Blender.
The next part of the tutorial was to make this donut. Actually, I think anyone who's attempted a Blender tutorial has made a donut. It's relatively simple and is the most popular 3D modelling tutorial available. Blender.
I created a background and surface and then added the two objects together with some lighting to create a small scene. That wall looks a little squishy... I guess the painters went a bit too thick with it. Blender.
I once got into a phase of building actual dreamcatchers. I found the process really intriguing. This is a sketch I made to prepare myself to learn it. Looping the thread into itself and having to maintain balance between each section is kind of hard. I think that difficulty adds to the force of the final product. The more intricate it is, the more likely it will be able to protect your dreams! Pencil in a sketchbook.
I was lucky enough to get a giant 30" x 40" canvas at a discount. I ended up using it to make this big mandala. It was supposed to incorporate every element as well as hints of the moon and sun. The water and moon are obviously apparent, the orange parts are fire, the green parts are wind, there are leaves and stone in the corners and actual stones glued onto one of the circular layers to represent earth. The sun is the white outline around the circular part. I'm not sure how the seahorse and octopus showed up in there, though. Acrylic on canvas
These two paintings are meant to depict a few aspects of mental health. The blue flowers are depression, the red-yellow ones are paranoia. The leaves are a bit chaotic and yeah they're messy, but they're still a pretty field of flowers.
Another greyscale drawing of a Kurosawa movie. This time I used a thicker outline. This is Toshiro Mifune in Yojimbo. Photoshop.
This was an experiment I made of a macro shot of a flower using a plaster gel medium to make the paint really thick. Acrylic on wood board.
These are my sketchbook notes for the next project. Pencil in sketchbook.
I had too many pencils! It was hard to keep them organized, so I planned out this storage system made out of Q-tip boxes and glasses cases that I had. I used mod podge to cover them in tissue paper. I got a big pencil case book later, so now I use it to hold thin markers.
This is Machiko Kyo in Rashomon. This was one of my first tablet drawings. I was trying to get better at drawing in greyscale, so I could add colour later. Photoshop.
I just added this one because Eevee is in it. It's a sketch of the corner of the room in our old place. When I look at this drawing, it brings me back there. Black marker in sketchbook.
